Who We Are

The Stitchers’ Grotto is the brainchild of me, Cortney Markham, a 20-something-year-old who has dabbled in needlework arts for the past 15 years. While getting a cross stitch piece framed at The Framery and Gallery, I got to talking with the owner, Shelby, to collaborate and provide a place for cross stitchers to go for framing. The shop was born then, and the rest is history!

We currently sit inside The Framery and Gallery as a boutique-like shopping atmosphere. The dream is to one day handle all sorts of needle art in our own space. The Stitchers’ Grotto will someday become a space where stitchers and crafters alike can sit and create together.

The Stitchers’ Grotto is located in the city of Trenton, Michigan, on the corner of Elm and West Jefferson. If you are in town, come by and say hello!

Why We're Here

Thanks to my mom, I’ve been crafting, whether it be cross stitch, crochet, or knitting, for as long as I can remember. When the opportunity came to start The Stitchers’ Grotto, it seemed like the logical next step. We’re here because crafters deserve a space to shop, create, and meet other crafters like themselves.

Crafters deserve to stitch with whimsy.
